Our son came into Furness Hospital recently with a limb threatening break to his left arm. All the staff acted swiftly and Mr Talawadekar ensured that we were kept informed at all times. He was very polite to us but I also noticed that he was polite to the other staff that helped. Now 6 weeks after the injury, my son has no cast or dressings and is slowly building up the use of his arm again. To go from such a serious injury to easily using his arm again has surprised and delighted us and I am sure that it is down to the quick actions and care of Mr Talawadekar. Our son's father was particularly anxious about the extent of our son's injury and Mr Talawadekar was able to re-assure him very well. It is clear to us that Mr Talawadekar went above and beyond the call of duty to help our son and we are very thankful.

Mr Talawadekar became my consultant when I was admitted with Septic arthritis and I have nothing but praise for the way he diagnosed and treated my illness. He showed great skill, compassion and professionalism and I would unreservedly recommend him to anyone requiring his skills and expertise.

I had shoulder surgery (NHS, Ashford Hosp). Mr Talawadekar explained everything to me carefully, thoroughly and kindly at my pre- and post-op appointments. He took time and trouble to ensure I was fully informed and well looked after before and after. Appointments never felt rushed or that I was being a bother by asking lots of questions(!). I was extremely impressed by his professional approach as well as his caring, personable and friendly nature - I almost felt like a private patient! ..An excellent job done on the shoulder too. :)

For many, many years now my left ring finger has been stuck at right angles to the palm of my hand and when I was first referred to Mr Talawadekar. I was immediately put at ease by Mr Talawadekar, such a charming man, down to earth attitude, didn't look down his nose at me as some consultants I had been referred to in the past. He explained everything he would be doing and any side effects of the procedure. He carried out the procedure on 18th April and I can say now the man is a genius. I can now straighten my finger and although still a little stiff I can form a fist with my fingers. I have nothing but admiration for this man, such a shame he cannot be found a space at St Peters Hospital. Mr Talawadekar....Thank you sir!
